The Pixel 3's Titan M Security Chip Working


The Pixel 3 duo comes equipped with a Titan M security chip which makes the new Google smartphones one of the most secure Android devices out there.

Google has now explained how the Titan M security chip works and here are a few key points:



  • The chip prevents a malicious party from unlocking the bootloader and is integrated into a secure boot process called Verified Boot
  • Titan M chip is used for verifying the lock screen password and limits the number of log-in attempts
  • It also prevents a malicious party from decrypting the information on your phone
  • The Titan M chip enables an API called Protected Information to make processes like money transfer more secure.

Prepare to pay more for the upcoming OnePlus 6T, suggest the recently leaked pricing for the device.
